As I grew up, I was fascinated by the way my
father was always talking to other people on a HAM radio. I later found out
that the HAM radio operators were always the first ones on call when a
natural disaster took place. The date was May 31st, 1985; We lived in a
valley in the northeast Pennsylvania area. We were hit by a massive amount
of tornadoes. Needless to say, all the phone lines were destroyed. Since no
one could use their telephones, the HAM radio operators took to a fast
action. They coordinated ambulances, the fire department, and even the
police. Three years later I joined a HAM radio club in Junior High School. I
was learning Morse Code and I almost took my first test to become a HAM
radio operator. But for some reason I did not. The next year I was in a life
changing accident that left me unable to speak. I now do most of my
communicating via e-mail and on a Mercury laptop computer. I would love to
learn Morse Code to teach to my son, Sam. Below you will find the alphabet
and numbers you will be able to learn in Morse Code. Morse Code is a code
that is heard by a bunch of dits, ( . ), and dahs, ( - ). If you keep this
practice up, you'll learn this by weeks end easily! Thank you for your visit
to my website and enjoy.
